Yes, this falls under the Midtown East rezoning, but in order for a tower this large to be built Roth would need to combine his 350 Park property with Rudin’s soon-to-be-former Black Rock HQ to the west.

Matt: You think that 350 Park will start in 2-3 years?
I hope this building gets built. Its design is very unique for New York City.

Eldridge — which also has an outpost in London — is currently located eight blocks away at 350 Park Avenue . It’s unclear when it plans to move to 767 Fifth.
That’s great news. I think that 350 Park is largely empty.
Let’s hope it stays that way. This proposal design is one of the best, along with 175 Park and 270 Park. The only flaw being that back wall but that will be completely covered eventually so it shouldn’t matter.
Wow!
Amazing news!
Fantastic! The big new Midtown East towers will probably be the most in-demand office space in the city for the post-COVID era—they’re amenity-filled, have good access to transit, and are in a relatively safe & clean part of Manhattan. I wonder where Blackstone and Morgan Stanley will end up. Would MS make a good 175 Park tenant, or would they want a site with a bigger base for giant trading floors? (People on SSP even suggested that 175 could be built on spec, no anchor needed).
I love how so many of NYC’s new towers have spectacular, heroic bases. Can’t wait to see them in person.
And let’s not forget the original Manhattan stilts tower…
I hope they go with that design. It’s f…king AMAZING!!!
Citadel makes perfect sense as a tenant considering they loved 425 Park enough to pay those huge rents, and this tower is like 425 Park on steroids.
In the current skyline, this tower will be number 3 at 1,450 ft. Behind 1WTC and CPT, and right before 111 West 57th.
However when it’s built 175 Park, Affirmation Tower, Tower FIfth, and possibly if it ever comes to fruition the 790 7th site will be taller. Not to mention possible sites like the PABT development. Very exciting times for NYC…
More on the way.
This tower’s height will look utterly pedestrian by 2035.
Short by 2050.
Yeah 1400-1500 feet is the new 700-800 feet!
I think if the old man Ramses had seen this he would have been envious.
„ A reconstruction of the Weiyang Palace of the Han Dynasty in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. This was the largest palace ever built on Earth, covering 4.8 km² (1,200 acres), which is 6.7 times the size of the current Forbidden City, or 11 times the size of the Vatican City. Today it is located in an open field and little remains of the former palace.„
From the angle of this rendering it makes it seem like 350 is like 200 feet smaller than 432 despite being 50 feet taller.
