They should have a significant effect on how the sunlight is reflected/caught throughout the day, which will ofcourse greatly emphasize the gesture!

Though the scoops will have a great impact in elevation, i think they will have the biggest impact at street level.

How do they get the excavators out of this deep hole once it’s done?

A mobile crane will probably be brought to the site once actual construction begins, the equipment stuck below would be brought out at that point in time by the mobile crane.

Yes, a mobile crane which will be on site to build this MTA access shed which is part of the first floor of the future tower.

Services and structure for the tower may be being built at the same time that this GCM entrance is being built but idk I would say that its apart of the towers first floor, even though its also at ground level.

Compared to the GCM entrance within 383 Madison, which “is” really apart of that tower, the entrance here is functioning on its own, that condition would be the same if the tower had been built at the same time.

Its currently two separate phases.

The partial excavation you see is all they are doing right now.

I aware of that since I’m working on this project, I was just saying more so that the GCM box isnt really apart of the tower, regardless if it was built with or without the tower. It is apart of the overall project, but not the tower.

This tower is too short.

~900’ or whatever it is, is not short relative to it being a commercial building on the size footprint that it has.

The project was added to BXP’s portfolio and a marketing website was launched for the tower.

Didn’t take any pics since I was in a rush but they were working on expanding the perimeter fence on Madison outward into the sidewalk around the Phase I excavation. Sidewalk is maybe like 3 feet wide now, wouldn’t be surprised if they put barricades in the street to “expand” the sidewalk.
