Baronson’s post, fifth pic down, the yellow chrysanthemums echoed by the yellow work platforms. Very nice kind of symmetry.
iPhone HDR?
Yup. It’s a struggle switching between the DSLR and the iPhone lol. But sometimes I go out strictly for exercise and lugging the DSLR is too much and slows me down.
The iPhone is actually way easier for close shots like these but the AI for its image processing leaves a little to be desired.
Yeah, I’m with you. I’m upgrading to an iPhone 13 and it’s supposed to excel at editing. Was wondering if you used LR or some other app to grade those photos in prior to uploading or if that was automated. I’ll try to post some shots w/the 13 when I get it. Cheers B!
I do use Lightroom to organize my photos. I have a cloud plan so I can use the mobile app to pick/reject photos quickly. I use my Mac to do more fine tuned editing in LR and use LR Classic to upload to Flickr. If I have a lot of photos around the same subject I’ll sometimes use Photoshop to stitch panoramas.
These pictures had minimum touch up in LR as the iPhone 12 did a lot of this automatically unfortunately. The colors are a little extreme in vibrancy for my tastes and I tried to reduce saturation. But it’s the only way to compensate for the highlights and lowlights that the phone is not great at balancing.
Look forward to some iPhone 13 pics.
Do you think they used the diamond design to appeal to Jamie Dimon?
I highly doubt that. Foster likes to use triangles in his designs.
Ima see if I can try to do that same view but in Minecraft ![]()
Metro North has closed its exit at northeast corner of 47th St & Madison Ave.

Not sure if this is for forever or if it will reopen when 270 Park Ave is complete.

Why there aren’t fine renderings about this building an it is already like 20% build?
I can’t understand, seriously.
Well 1) Try 10% mate. 2) Because they don’t have to. So they aren’t. No idea why they don’t want to but they don’t so they’re not.
Besides we already know it’s basic design.
Right. But it seems like they’ve found an odd loophole in city zoning and building codes. A loophole that should be closed. The public has a right to know what’s being built in their neighborhoods. For any project, really, but certainly for a project of this size.
And I agree. He just asked why, so I told him why.
They got spooked by the potential landmarking of the old building.
I don’t see why people wanted it landmarked, it was everything people complain about in modern architecture. A big glass box.
