STUNNING!!! This building truly set the bar high for future skyscrapers in NYC, exuding class and prestige 24/7! 111W57, meanwhile, remains in the dark ![]()
Great illustration of why these supertall office towers now have such low floor counts. Some of these double- and triple-height floors practically make it seem like you’re in a plaza outside, not inside an office halfway up a skyscraper.
The inside legitimately looks like a mall. This building is the height of the OG world trade centers, yet looks like that which is crazy
Is there still major construction going on inside to have the construction elevator up that high? It looked like it was coming down some months back but has remained this height ![]()
Theyre just doing buildouts of floors, but I’m guessing the loading dock/service elevators inside don’t have the same capacity as the external hoist. Given how fast they wanted to move in, I’m guessing they’re using it to move materials faster and thus finish build out faster, even if it doesn’t quite look externally complete as a result
With that note, I presume once that work is done the external elevator will be quickly disassembled. Hopefully

Spotted this in a 4k megacities video. Older but awsome shots.
Why is this city so damn beautiful!

Thank you very much Adam.
You’re welcome. Sorry if this is off-topic, but can you also make photo collages of 8 Carlisle?
