Im hoping that these are just tests of the plantings and they aren’t actually already installing them, they look to be in very poor condition/dying.

The “fabric” medium used here is used in many landscape applications, its not unusual for plants to be in this type of application.

Looks like woodland violets, ferns, sedge grass and Virginia creeper which should vine up and attach to the rocks. All native plant to the area. Hopefully they planned some sort of irrigation system.

with every other day, this is starting to look more and more like it belongs in Shanghai or Dubai
