On the Madison Avenue side above the entrance there are some “bracing” elements on the cladding that do not correspond to any actual structure underneath.
The next set of columns installed will either be very tall to accomodate the large height between this current mechanical floor and the roof floor or they will be “short” and the roof level connections will be apart of the last portions of steel that reach the parapet.
There “should” be a small intermediate floor between the current floor (59) and 60 that is not being counted as a mezzanine. The roof of this building is being considered as the top of the parapet (at 1388’) but 60 is the actual last floor.
Hudson yards look amazing
Cladding just casually at 750+ feet in the air (comparing to 383 Madison).
I wonder if they’re waiting for the BMU…
Do you think there would just be one? If so, how would one service the tiered sides?
2 BMUs were installed on the top of the 2nd tier and will service everything below that point. It appears like there will be one atop the 4th tier that will have a track that crosses over to both sides. Another BMU will be installed for the crown, but it will not be put on this level, it would be put on level 60.
Thanks for explaining
The 2 pools/water features on either side of the Madison Ave entrance were always in play. The specific portion that we do not (or that I dont atleast) particularly know of is the vertical portion of wall above those 2 pools and whether they are waterwalls or not. Otherwise the pools have always been a known design feature.
Either way, it will be a great feature.
Lol you’ve been on top of things in terms of catching moments of steel installation man!
It’s difficult to tell if it reaches L60, it doesnt appear to but we can definitely see the beam connections for the very small floor above L59 that is not counted.
