NEW YORK | 270 Park Ave | 1,389 FT | 70 FLOORS

Yeah should be interesting. Naturally I hope they keep the three going as long as possible.

The second crane will be dismantled when the majority of the setback floor assembly is completed. @Jackson0427 is correct that the pace will be for the most part the same because the crane to floor area proportion is the same as it wouldve been before with 4 cranes and a larger area. To the point of the last tier, I believe another crane will be dismantled after the 4th tier and a lone crane will assemble the crown/last tier.

And to the point of the topping out timeline, I think a Sept 23rd (end of Summer) top out is possible, but that is barring there are no delays or other unmitigated factors that arise, generally, the building should top out or be topped out in October.

It is my understanding that this building is being paid for with cash.

They are the main supports of the building, holding up the east-west girders of the tabletop, on which the rest of the building is constructed.

I’d argue that the interior columns are more important than the fan columns since as you said, they are really what is holding up the 30’ deep girder of the tabletop. The fan columns are just stabilizing the tabletop.

I know you’re talking about the angled columns in the center of the lobby render, but I’m not sure which criss cross beams you are referencing though @Jaydayvis.

It has broken the 800-foot plateau and will become more and more noticeable from afar with every 2-story jump.

Dancing cranes under stormy skies.

PS. The eventual demise of Wired New York was due to many factors: one of which was a poor choice of Moderators. I met with Edward S. several times and tried to explain - to no avail.

It is a job that often attracts petty minded tyrants who relish in the opportunity to ban people with whom they have personal, political or random disagreements.
