Permits Filed For 39-Story Tower At 1 Eagle Street In Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a 39-story high-rise at 1 Eagle Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located between West Street and Franklin Street, the corner lot is eight city blocks north of the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Dan Berger of Brookfield Property Partners is listed as the owner behind the applications for this tower along with an adjacent seven-story development at 15 Eagle Street.

The proposed 435-foot-tall tower at 1 Eagle Street will yield 387,896 square feet. Combined with the 175,431 square footage of 15 Eagle Street, the two developments will have a total of 710,344 square feet designated for residential space and 8,616 square feet for commercial space. 1 Eagle Street will have 335 rental suites, with an average unit scope of 1,157 square feet. 15 Eagle Street will rise 67 feet and house 108 units, although it is unclear if these will be rentals as well. Both concrete-based structures will also have cellars, rooftops, and 30-foot-long rear yards.

Carlos Cardoso of Beyer Blinder Belle is listed as the architect of record.
