The problem is NIMBYs who force the construction of more parking than what would be built otherwise.
Zoning Review Application submitted last week. Once that is approved, the construction permits will be submitted.
Someone told me this week that they talked to a construction worker on the 107 Morgan site recently and the worker said construction is slated to start Sept 2026. Does anyone know if that means theyâd start demolition work on the parking lot a few months before that?
Parking was reduced from 444 to 213. The City Planner added nine parking spaces to be set aside for the buildingâs retail units. Geez. PADNA didnât force anything. BUT the Chairman of the Planning Board was the one person on the board that did not approve this plan because the parking was reduced so much.
Standard Requirement - parking 444 spaces (Min. 0.7 spaces/unit)
Proposed Minimum - 204 (0.322 spaces/unit provided)
