I hate to always be negative on here but damn, so many reasons to be with Chicago aldermen, developers, architects and community groups these days. They put some 210 N. Carpenter and Mc’Donad’s HQ treatment on here going full-on faux warehouse. The windows are now larger and more rectangular, they switched out the refreshing white/grey brick that provided much needed contrast in the neighborhood for the obligartory Fulton Market red-brick. The proportion of the glass section for the west elevation was made noticebaly narrower and the fins that made the argyle patterns are less distinctive now with the fins being narrower, shorther and less quanity
Funny how these surprises hardly ever actually improve a design.
