Looks like it’s possible! If they follow through with their construction timeline from the FAA filing this will be completed by summer 2026-Waterline’s scheduled for late 2026 completion.

^^^^^^
HKS believe it will be the tallest building in Texas and the tallest residential building outside New York in the United States. But maybe not for long.

“We’re going to see others of this height throughout the city. I won’t be surprised to hear about more,” Wilkins said.

Can someone project The Waterline in there @ThreeWentDown

This tower is a good example of why number of floors does not equal height.

Proposed Wilson Tower - 1,035 ft / 80 floors
Proposed Affirmation Tower - 1,663 ft / 95 floors
(and one already built)
The Spiral - 1.040 ft / 66 floors

cancelled

By a design commission. That doesn’t mean that it’s cancelled

okay not canceled but it could be smaller.

Obly 800 feet.

Where did you get that completely arbitrary number from?

Nowhere in the article did it mention anything about a height cut. The committee had concerns about how the tower interacts with public spaces, and those are the changes that will most likely be made, has nothing to do with how tall it is.

The only thing related to the size of the building that commissioners were questioned by is that more than half of the FAR of the building is bonus.
