What about the CN Tower?

My guess is he means first supertall that’s meant to be continuously habitable. Instead of just an observation deck

Between this, the Herzog & De Meuron skinny tower, and the Gehry towers, Toronto is getting some handsome supertalls.

Whoa. That is pretty strange to ask for an increase as the building is already rising. I hope it is approved. Wish we could do that in NYC.

Is the core being built on the same level as the slabs, instead of the core being above the slab by a two floors or more in the USA. That’s interesting

„ Diagram showing the angled columns within the wider structure, image via submission to City of Toronto“

„ The design scheme pushes the structure to the edges of the building. On each of its four sides are two “mega-columns,” as the architects call them, with diagonal bracing that extends up the façades, suspending a series of rectangular blocks within.“
