The lighting of this tower is so appropriate for the area that the simple form is forgiven.

This venue can pull crowds. Imagine someone like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé preforming? The turnout would be insane!

They are missing out on a looooooot of money this year by not having it ready for the holiday season. Oh well, hopefully the extra construction time is worth it.

Not having what ready? The hotel is already opened/opened in August along with a restaurant.

So I looked it up and it does seem like one restaurant has opened and will be used on NYE but I doubt that that one restaurant alone takes up all their entertainment space because I read there was a ton of space in the building for bars and restaurants. The retail stores won’t be open until early 2014, so they missed out on holiday shopping revenue on those.

The restaurant is apart of the hotel, yes the main bulk of the podium of the building is shell space for commercial usage and prefunction space for the historic theater, but they are not losing that much revenue because room rates during NYE and NYs in general are always very expensive (in the thousands of dollars per night) where as many TS businesses actually don’t make that much on NYE because the entire area is closed off to pedestrian traffic, they will only see the same customers, hotels (and restaurants and bars where reservations are booked) are the real money makers, not retail.
