Based upon this floorplan, the tower clearly will not be a box.
Also, it appears that its shape changes as it rises. Contrast the two floor plans below.

Wow! The 1550 ft. Nordstrom tower only has 130 units spread across ~95 floors… And we’re supposed to believe this won’t crack 1000 ft? I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to soar.

It seems that this towrer will have many more 1!and 2 bedroom units, and they’re apparently as small as 450 square feet.
I think it will be a little over 1,000’.

This tower must change shape as it rises. It would have a 45 degree angle in the southeast corner (and likely in the southwest corner) where it meets the adjoining buildings.

The shape from the floor plans potentially can make this tower pretty interesting.
With the latest details released, I’m confident that this tower will definitely exceed 1,000’.
I think it’s safe to say that this tower will have several mech floors. As per Real Deal article recently said developers can cheat with height by including mech floors. Potentially adding another 20 - 25 feet per mech floor.
Since this is a luxury condo, I would expect that the units here will have higher than standard ceilings.
With 360k sq for development at 91 floors, my guess is that this tower could potentially stand anywhere from 1,100 - 1,200’ tall.

We have not seen the final design , but we know it has curves based on the plan filed with the AG.

I don’t think this will rise this cycle. One Wall Street’s construction shed is now up and that + 50 West + 30 Park Place = more than enough inventory to fulfill current cycle’s demand.
This and 45 Broad are likely candidates for the next cycle IMO, as well as 77 Greenwich/42 Trinity.
Should also add that Shvo is barely involved and this is mostly Bizzi & New Valley.

Also, Shvo leased space in 1 WTC for a sales office/gallery and it looks like they’re in the process of getting a construction loan. Not to mention, they already filed plans with the AG revealing the finalized product. Foundation work is well underway so I think it’s safe to say this will continue to move forward.

I hope you are right, but as 56 Leonard & 30 Park Place showed last cycle, foundation work does not necessarily translate into immediate construction. Shvo is good at ridiculous marketing stints but unfortunately both this & 239 10th Ave appear to be verging on “hold” status.

I’m pretty sure Shvo got a construction loan for the other site you mentioned. But downtown’s momentum and demand has been pretty strong thus far so I don’t see why this wouldn’t continue. 45 Broad Street is another story but that site has been vacant for so long and it was recently snapped up by a developer who wants to get the ball rolling there so I wouldn’t count either of them out.
