I like the towers but not in this location. Too “urban renewal”.

I like this a lot. I’d like to see NYU redevelop more crap in the area.
I think Picasso is one of the most over rated painters/sculptors in the history of Fine Arts.
I remember when the stone on that sculpture was a light cream color: similar to the stone facade of the buildings in the driveway courtyard: I used to sit there often when I lived in SoHo.
I still think it is highly disrespectful - and negligent - to let that garden sculptor become so completely covered with soot, that the image painted on the surface is practically disappearing.
Where are the ‘community’ activists on this: too busy protesting perfectly fine looking buildings in the area is my guess.
