NEW YORK | Block 675 (601 W 29th St) | 637 + 545 FT | 58 + 42 FLOORS

The density is off the charts with whats coming via the surrounding blocks near Phase 1 and P2 of HY. And we still have HY II renderings to look forward too!

Soldier and lagging walls going in for the foundation this week. Looks like the larger Douglaston site will start first then the smaller Lalezarian site will start later?

I assume it’s kinda water logged in this area?

Yeah I was thinking the same. Or maybe it was never original land? Maybe it was landfill at some point in the past and they have to put in deep caissons to support these buildings? Wonder if it is a similar situation under phase 2 of HY? Could be extra tricky there with even more tracks and less space to put caissons if that is even an option there.

Click on the area in question. Light orange indicates landfill. Green is original shoreline.

Should we split up these 2 towers into individual threads or keep them as 1?

Lalezarian site is now starting excavation.

Just one. Similar to the Manhattan West or Tishman LIC Tower parcels. Just makes things less confusing and more centralized. One being 601 West 29th Street the other being 606 West 30th Street. Given proximity, we’ll keep it as one.
