There’s some possibility that this is now topped out. The last renders that were released show a slightly shorter top row/tier of parapet when compared to the zoning diagram, which sort of depicted a 1.5x top row. The shorter top row as depicted in the render aligns with the steel that’s been raised thus far. Which means if it is topped out, it topped out on the 10th. It’s to be seen whether they end up adding the .5 top most band though.

It’s definitely topped out to me because the cocoons were removed. Most of the time, when a building tops out, the cocoon would be removed sometime soon.

There’s still more steel that needs to be erected

That’s true but there’s no indication that the remaining steel will climb higher than the current steel since theres no splices nor gussets for bracing atop the uppermost pieces.

So instead of 270 Park topping out when it was its full height of 1388’, it actually topped out when it was ~1225’ tall because that’s how tall it was when the cocoon was removed. Got it.

Yeah it’s definitely topped out structurally. The curtainwall may extend some past the top of the structure though.

it looks like the curtain wall is at its final floors

Yes. Yes it is

huge fan of the density from that angle, but also how it covers up just enough of the W hotel to trick you into thinking that building isnt awful

Something about this shot makes me think of “The Time Machine” when the main character arrives in 2030 (around 0:42 - here’s the scene) :star_struck:

I have a Time Machine

Amazing!!! 125 Greenwich finally looks like it’s not under construction anymore (unlike 8 Carlisle which took a nod from 45 Park Place and seemingly lost funding on this exact day  )
