NEW YORK | 625 Madison Ave | 1,220 ft | 68 FLOORS

„ Nearby, the office building at 625 Madison is being demolished and rebuilt by Related as a 1,220-foot-tall, 66-story, 101-unit luxury condo tower designed by SLCE architects with its eastern blockfront between East 58th and 59th streets, set to be chock full of new stores.

They are already having conversations and not opening until 2027,” Soutendijk said. “It will be great physical space with new storefronts and signage and it will be an incredible blockfront.”

A block north, between East 60th and 61st streets, Gary Barnett is razing 655 Madison Ave. to build a 37-story condo with 62 units that will likely include retail.

“That stretch from 58th to 61st Street will be entirely reinvented,” said Joel Isaacs of Isaacs and Co. “It will be prime, prime, space.”

I read a comment on SSP, the member estimated the height of the Extells project on the 655 Madison Avenue site to be around 500 feet.

I just hope that after the demolition of the old 655 Madison Avenue, construction will begin quickly. Are there any photos of the renovation of 655 Madison Ave.

We already know the projected height of the development at 655 Madison through the zoning document that was leaked that shows it as being +500’.

It’s getting confusing with people posting 655 Madison Ave info here when they aren’t related projects, should probably keep that in it’s own thread.

Stop talking about 655 Madison in this thread, just stop…

Likewise

Stop talking about 625 Madison in the 655 Madison thread…

It doesn’t matter what reason you want to formulate, they are different projects an entire block away from eachother.

Could one of you take a current picture of the demolition? so that we can get back to the topic.
007 can you please stop writing pointless posts, I don’t want to suspend you one last time. Just post interesting posts like you did on 270 Park Ave, that was a very useful post.

How are the individual modules for the curtain assembled?
Is this curtain connected to the building?
Are there differences between such curtains or are they always the same?
Don’t any of you have photos of how they are put together?

I think we’re seeing the remains (Spandrels and mullions) of the 1950s curtain wall behind the reclad. Neat!

This has become a thread of late. I read it as a guest and have to say this one needs a complete reboot. I am vice adim of the forum and not a kindergartener, so 007 why have you broken this thread so much?
I’ll take the next few minutes to consider restarting this thread (625 Madison Avenue) and closing and hiding this one (old one).
So don’t be surprised if the 625 Madison thread gets relisted.
The next post by 007 that is reported with a flag should be edited so that 007 never posts again.
