I hope they stick with the only rendering that we’ve seen.

This footprint appears as though they will move ahead without taking the Duane Reade site, which is the last site on the block as a holdout. Maybe they will build another tower later once they take DR or build a smaller site on the other side of DR if they don’t sell.

Hadn’t come across this rendering before.

Yup. That’s definitely a new angle of that development.

Thanks for posting. For posterity, here’s the rendering:

looks closer to 700ft. 11 Hoyt is 626ft and Brooklyn Point is 723ft.

Well the Duane Reade finally closed. Maybe they’re getting the whole block now? (That building is really hideous. I hope it gets torn down or redone, either way.)

This is the vacant lot to the west of the former Duane Reade building. It doesn’t seem that building is part of this development, though.

The tower part of this development (on Flatbush between DeKalb and Fulton) has had a lot activity in the last week. Excavation seems to be under way.

How odd that the Duane Reade is now vacant but that mid-block building seems to be staying.

And how odd that this new building is just one floor tall. Really? It almost seems like a placeholder. Unless the air rights were all used up for the tower at the other end of the block? …or something else?

This is officially under construction now.

What a bizarrely deceptive rendering. They tried to insert The Paxton (540 Fulton) into an older “photo” but turned it 90 degrees?! Why? And to make The Brook look more impressive, they gave The Paxton a height cut and omitted The Brooklyn Tower (9 DeKalb).

Will fit in nicely right about here:
