30 Hudson makes 10 Hudson an almost 900 feet tall building look so small.
Nice angle! i hope that plot eventually yields a supertall. McCourt is missing out on the Hudson Yards boom.
you can see all the < EXIT > signs
i know this one gets a lot of good press on this site but I’m finding it pretty awful. I never liked it a whole lot but the observation desk, while an engineering feat, is aesthetically awful. I think this one is a dud, certainly in comparison with 15 and 35.
Beg to differ. I absolutely love this building, I’m generally a fan of massive buildings. This building can’t be categorized as just a glass box. It’s irregular and a skyline altering hulk standing next to its smaller sibling. It can be seen for miles deep into NJ. The observation deck is quite a feat in engineering. You don’t see enough daring things in the west anymore compared to buildings in Asia and the Middle East. This building is a plus IMO.

This guy says the observation deck is aimed to open November 1, and the feature where you can climb the crown on the harness is true, the photo above is the viewing platform inside the crown
Is this tower actually completed?
it looks like such a mess at the moment that I wouldn’t call it that at all.
There’s a rig surrounding all of the glass on the observation deck platform again, some missing glass under the platform and north side and crown. And I think the construction elevator is still coming down
Older but imposing.
I still think New Jerseyans have the best angles of the skyline. From Queens/Brooklyn, one can get a nice view, but it doesn’t match the raw in your face presence when viewed from NJ. Either via Turnpike driving as you come close or nearby like Union City or West NY in NJ.

Weehawken’s views are so good! I want to move to there.
