I was just there two weeks ago. Spent the whole week without a car, went grocery shopping and sightseeing. Stayed in apartments in downtown Miami and in Overtown. My thoughts are that the Metromover is excellent, and Metrorail is pretty good…at least it runs on schedule unlike PATH or the MTA. But the Metromover/Metrorail coverage is not that high. Meanwhile Tri-Rail is useless as a commuter rail system though, since it doesn’t go to downtown Miami or any other job centers. And that is a serious liability for a place trying to attract employers that want access to a large pool of skilled labor. ---
